Why Pray?
"Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend." Ellen G. White It's a privilege to know that our Father longs to connect with us. There's no burden too heavy for Him and no pain that surpasses His understanding. He loves us with an everlasting love. When we feel overwhelmed, lonely, forsaken, or forgotten we should go to Him in prayer. We can cast our burdens at His feet. He's waiting patiently for us. Matthew 11:28-30 reads, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” It is so good to know that we have a Father and a Friend in Jesus. When we Pray, we are uplifted into His presence. He hears our petitions, and he answers. Does your heart trouble? Take Him up on His request, and cast your burden on Him. Be Blessed.
